Update!

So I'm terribly sorry for not blogging for ages. Brendan thinks I'm slack. I've just been too cool for school thank you very much! ;) I'm trying to work back my 'cool points' after Brendan saw a very embarassing photo of myself when I was pre-pubescant with really daggy nerdy asian kid hair with a headband and lameass braces.

Updates from last time I blogged. Spent New Years at Brighton with a little laid back (but awesome fun) party at Robyn's house sitting pad and saw fireworks from the Brighton Beach Pier. The weather was beautiful and I was with people who made me truly happy. We drank champagne straight out of the bottle and popped our party poppers like little kids getting excited about shiny metallic ribbon. We went back to the house, drank 4 shots cock-sucking cowboys each (more for some) and played a few rounds Twister. Twister is sooooo much more entertaining as (drunk) adults!!! Earlier that evening we had a BBQ of burgers and snags and the random salad. With lots of beer and pool filled with glowsticks, it was a great balmy evening despite the swarm of mosquitoes that gathered around our sweaty flesh.

The last week since after New Years, I've been in and out of home. Usually up at Brighton (watching endless hours of Scrubs) with the odd night in the city at Den's (watching more Scrubs) apartment. Family friends from Adelaide were here for a few days and so I spent some time with them. The last few days I have been trying to shop for a new wardrobe for work. I was dreading this at the start because I thought it would be boring as I'm not too much of a fan of conservative clothing and work clothing just reminds me of well... work. But as soon as I hit the shops (Cheltenham DFO, of which I ended up dragging two unfortunate souls through all the shops and spending time trying clothes on in each of them) and found out what exciting and awesome clothing styles for work, I'm now hooked!! Tomorrow I will be going to Chadstone with mum for a good 'hitting the spot' shopping day.

Oh, another 'update', I brewed my first batch of beer last week! It's a malty lager (I hope). It's still in the vat and the fermentation process is coming to an end as it is bubbling a lot less. In a couple of days I'll check it with a hydrometer and start priming the beer in bottles. It's so exciting! The liquid in the vat was originally a darkish brown but now that fermentation is almost over, it looks as golden as a good lager should be. I hope it tastes just as good as it looks. I'm waiting a bit longer before I bottle the beer just so the yeast can settle - I am opting for a clearer beer at the moment rather than cloudy.

Anyways, enough of that beer-nerd talk... I'm going to bed!!

G'nite world!

Can't wait to try some. Free hint of the day: move your vat to the edge of the bench now, and let the silt settle for a day or whatever, so you don;t stirr up the sediment right before you bottlwe the brew.
