Ugh.

I went to uni today. I have some small issues for my last subject's exam this friday that I had to clear up with my tutor. It is a commerce subject and so the tutor is located in the Menzies building. I was 15 mins late and so I thought I'd better park in the Arts carpark to save me walking 2 kilometers from the Engineering carpark.

I try to avoid the Arts carpark as much as possible. This is partly due to two reasons.

1. I have bad experiences in the Arts carpark. Back in first and second years when the Engineering multilevel was still being constructed, I circled this damn multilevel like a freak on crack looking for a park. And this is 10am. So basically... if I had class later than 10am, there was NO chance I'd find a park anywhere at uni. I also never had friends parking there so I always walked to this carpark alone at the end of the day. Shithouse.

2. Many fond memories of the Engineering carpark (read post below re my love for my engineering degree over my commerce degree) makes me want to park there as much as possible before my uni days are over. I parked there everyday since the end of 2nd year and so it was like my car's second home :P It was my comfort zone ;) ;)

And when I thought I'll never get to park in the Arts carpark again (which was a major sigh of relief and a deep inner feeling of utter happiness), I had to park there today. What shiteness.

Even though it's the Arts carpark, it is no where near the Menzies. I bet I could walk to Menzies from Engineering carpark in less time. The Arts Carpark is a SHAM. Just because it was the very first multilevel carpark at uni doesn't mean it reigns superior over the Engineering multilevel which is 4 floors and can take approximately over 1000 cars. So NER.

Ok... so you can tell I am really bored when I start bitching about carparks. I'm just so over studying for this subject. I wish this exam was tomorrow so I can get it over and done with NOW! This is soooo unfair!

Tomorrow I'm heading off to RMIT to apply for yet another university course. Y'see, in order to do this Germany thing, I have to be a student at RMIT so I've applied for this post-grad Graduate Certificate in Engineering Management. I want to get my application in on time (even though I don't even know whether I AM going to Germany yet - yes it's been delayed ONCE again... to mid-Nov) because I applied for a 'Girlie discount' (as Ben refers it to as). What it is is instead of paying full fee, which is what I would be doing otherwise, as a female studying a 'non-traditional course' (i.e.: engineering), I get to do the course as a discounted HECS course instead of full-fee. Wooohoo. All those years of being called a 'lesbian' is finally paying off :P... EAT THAT, BOYZ.

Anywhoo... I had to pull out my VCE documentation for the application. Man... did I feel like I was starting uni all over again. I looked at my preferences that I had put in and they are as follows...

1. Engineering/Commerce (University of Melbourne)
2. Commerce/Engineering (Monash University)
3. Deans Scholar for Engineering (Monash University)
4. Engineering/Arts (University of Melbourne)
5. Arts/Engineering (Monash University)
6. Science/Engineering (Monash University)
7. Engineering/Science (University of Melbourne)
8. Civil Engineering/Bus. Mngmt (RMIT)

As you can see I was very undecided about which Uni I wanted to go to! I was very tempted to put my number 2 preference as my number 1 (Monash instead of Melbourne Uni) because I loved the facilities of Monash's engineering. But I ended up putting Melbourne Uni first because: a. it's so much closer to my house than Monash is, b. all my friends are going to Melbourne! AND I had the ENTER to get me into it... xept it turned out that that year the ENTER for the course went up by a whole 1 ENTER score meaning that I missed out by .1 - I nearly died. Yet at the same time, I wasn't too upset. I was just miffed that I had to start making friends all over again :P

Well it worked out just fine and man... can u imagine just how different things would have been if I weren't at Monash? I think fate brought me there because the year after, the ENTER for Commerce/Eng at Melbourne fell back down to where it was 2 years earlier. So some strange force really wanted me to go to Monash... but I'm so not complaining! Thank you strange force!!!!!!!!
