My blog has not been reflecting the past recent events, in particular, my birthday party(s). I will get around to putting up pics and write about it soon!
I don't think people realise just how busy I am. I have been flat out and lying under a heap of dirty smelly laundry (aka. uni work). My thesis is far from complete besides the fact that it is due in 5 weeks. I have subjects like HEAT TRANSFER to get my head around. I have 3 other subjects that are not 'bullshit subjects', except maybe one but we're doing pretty bad in it right now and won't be getting HDs if we don't pull up our socks.
So I'll be a lot less sociable over the coming weeks, so don't look at me as if I've got no better excuse to!! Ahhhhh!
Meanwhile,
Auburn Station is a sell-out. Under the railway bridge that runs over Auburn Road is a hotspot for band posters advertising new albums, singles and tours. I love driving past and checking out the latest tours and music. It is a good mix of both mainstream and indie band posters and very very up to date. I found out about the Franz Ferdinand tour in 2004 when I drove past. I found out about the new The Grates album. I found out about how End Of Fashion is actually a band - and the one that did that fantastic cover of Quicksand. Etc etc...
Ok, back to my main point. These posters are gone! They cleared all the walls and cleaned them until the 100 yr old bricks look as if they were laid a month ago. For the past week I thought that maybe they needed a good scrub and will put the music posters back on after that's been done. But NO! Just two days ago, I drove past and found COMMERCIAL BILLBOARDS. Auburn Road is a sell-out and I am upset.
In other news... How about that
Steve Irwin, hey? I mean, he really annoyed me but I didn't want him dead! The patriot in me feels saddened that we have lost this Aussie icon (despite him annoying me so much whilst he was up and about going crikey this crikey that and hardly even reflecting the very large and un-bogan Australian community). RIP, Steve.
