Sweet.
Life is good. Exams are over and I have a four-month holiday ahead of me. I have finalised my final year project and I love it. I have plans for what I want to do after uni. I have a decent job with great people. I have beautiful friends and family. I finally have direction. HEY life IS good!
Yesterday I had THE BEST day albeit the fact that I had two exams. I got to Caulfield Racecourse rather early and hung around with my buddies. The exam was delayed because of a train problem so we started about 20 minutes late. That was ok. The first exam was Systems and Control and it went rather alright. It was gentle... and that's as much as I can say about it. I passed definitely but just how well I shall find out when results come out!
After Systems Andrew, Downzy, Brendan, Ben, Richie and I went to Chadstone for lunch. Andrew, Ben and I had another exam in the afternoon and we didn't want to go home and go back to the racecourse so we hung around the area. We roamed the aisles of HMV and JB Hi fi after lunch and Brendan and Andrew purchased some CDs. Brendan has very similar music tastes to me! Yay.
The Design Management exam was rather enjoyable. In 3 hours we had to design a large awning for a luxury hotel. This of course doesn't just include the aesthetic aspects of design but also calculating wind force and self weight on the awning and how it will not just collapse on people during its life. I 'blah'ed' away for a few pages before getting to the actual calculations. You get marks for bullshitting! It was in the handout! "Students are awarded for innovation even though they are dead pan and lead nowhere" - aka: Bullshit. Awesome. It didn't even feel like an exam. Perfect way to end the Exam Season!
After that we headed straight for the pub. Hehe. Out of exams and into the pub. Tsk, engineers. Well, it was a bit of a round trip to the pub. Andrew and I first had a pit stop at Ben's place nearby. Met up with Michael and then went to the Rosstown for a pub meal (also around the corner) where Brendan and Downsie were already waiting. I ordered pork sausages and Downsie said "Oh my god. Trust you to order a set of cocks!" And then later I was caught saying "Oh my god. I'm surrounded by engineers!" and Mike said "Hey. You ARE an engineer" - Oh yeah!
It was still rather early... 9pm-ish so Ben, Andrew, Downes and I headed to the Wheelers where we met Steve and Jenko. Great company, lots of beer... had a great night. I really enjoy hanging out with just guys. Everything is so laid-back, simple and a whole lot of fun. And being the only girl, there's that bit of special treatment you won't find anywhere else. I'm so glad to have found such a great group of friends who are always around to share my last years at uni with.
Life is good!

I'm glad you had a good day. I hope that I contributed in some small part to it. How do you finish a comment? Yours truly Brendan(as featured/mentioned.) PS That ends in a one-eyed emoticon.
