Happy Birthday to me!

Have you ever noticed that you get really tired on your birthday? Especially when it's about the time of your actual birth? I don't know - it happens to be almost every year. I spent the last hour napping because I was feeling so bad. I don't know why I'm feeling so crap today when I really don't have a reason to.

I woke up this morning with no messages on my phone so I thought that everyone has forgotten about me. But I wasn't bothered by that cos it was still early on in the day. I got to uni still not receiving anything and then I realised that my inbox was full. I deleted it and soon than enough, my phone went spastic with all these sms sounds. I got really excited! Then I went to have coffee with Andrew, Benny and Michael - Andrew shouted me a coffee and we shared a lemon tart - mmm. It was beautiful weather too so we were sitting out in the sun with tarts and coffee - perfect! Later we walked over to Sports & Rec to book a squash court for tomorrow.

Andrew then gave me an early present which was terribly exciting because I was expecting no presents today (most people would be giving it to me on sat). As a fellow lover of coffee I got this cool Kathmandu portable flask/plunger - so that I can have filtered coffee on the go rather than instant! How versatile.

I came home and found my cat (neighbours cat, but it's pretty much ours now), Moo Moo (hehe), in the same position in his basket in which I left him that morning. He's been feeling sick lately and so I thought he had died!! Luckily he didn't so I picked the basket up with him inside and brought him into the house - just to get him out of the heat. It was hot today wasn't it? I cleaned his food bowl and gave him some fresh water and dry food and nursed him for about half an hour. There's something about that cat. He's so loving. He always wants to be around people all the time and runs to my car to greet me every time I come home. He actually notices my car and runs to it before I even enter my drive way! That cat has some good karma.

My mum baked me a cake tonight which we're going to have in a little while. I had some yummy dinner too - lamb cutlets, pan fried, on a bed of mash with oniony brown sauce & of course salad. And you know how I'm a sucker for lamb :P I've been complaining to my parents about how I'm feeling like shit today and they are making a great effort to make me feel better. :)

In other news, a tattoo update: My tattoo has completed its scabbing process (it scabbed about twice!) and its no longer raised. If I run my fingers across it, you can slightly feel it but not as prominently as before. Sometimes I'd forget that I actually have a tattoo and I give myself a pleasant surprise when I catch sight of it in the bathroom. Sometimes I'd get a bit iffy about it - I want it to be slightly lower so that it will show when I sit down or bend over. But at the same time, I can wear backless tops and it'll be in the perfect position. I can't decide which is better. Oh well.

So right now I should be doing something more useful with myself but I just cannot be bothered. Today so doesn't feel like a birthday. I suppose since I haven't had my party yet I don't feel things have been justified :P. I'm glad I decided to have a party because I was close to not having one. I think I would regret if I didn't do anything because I'm feeling like such a bum right now.

I hope you guys like this new greenish layout! :)
