St-st-st-st-stats!!

So now I'm cramming in some stats study. I spent yesterday practicing some Fourier stuff, that was okay... but when totally lost with the whole Spectrum and Data Conditioning business. Today I've moved on to probability which is SO MUCH EASIER, though I've never encounted calculus in probability before, I must say I was very silly when I said a few months ago to my friends "What kind of probability uses calculus?!?!" - probability IS all about calculus - area under the distribution curve? Duhhhhh! Hey, what can I say... most of it has been completely simplified for the high school and commerce students :P

So 50% of the Stats paper is based on probability and the other 50% is for that crazy Fourier hard-core mathsy part. I'm thinking if I can master all of probability and half of the hard-core stuff, I can pass the subject. ;)

I'm working 3 days this week, tomorrow, Sat and Sunday so I'm going to have to do as much study as possible now. (Btw: Senseless advertising - come to A|X, we're on sale!)

xx Ciaoz

yuk. those sort of statistics dont sound good. and here i am struggling to figure out when to use a binomial distribution or a poisson distribution. ARGH!

And yes. probability is all about calculus. Even I have realised that in second year, with all this E(X)=integral of the pdf stuff. yuk.

BTW: do you know what the name was of the Japanese girl that was put in jail for 10 years over those drug smuggling charges? You mentioned it many many posts ago.

    Hey!

Yeah, had the stats exam today... went pretty alright - much better compared to that of fluids!! So feelin kinda pumped.

Hehehe, Poisson is for a big sample n when you have a very small probability p. And binomial -used for discreet variables ;)

    I'm such a nerd.

    ANYWHO...
The name of the Japanese woman is Yoshio Katsuno.

    xx
