Bugger!

So let me get this straight:

Georgina travels all the way to New York City in July, home of Interpol.
Interpol travels all the way to Melbourne in July, home of Georgina.

Bugger.

Georgina was hoping that Bloc Party will come to Australia some time soon.
Bloc Party is coming to Australia really soon, in fact in July.

Double bugger.

Just my luck to miss out on a couple of potential fantastic gigs. There'd better be some even better ones in NYC when I'm there! Which reminds me, I must book accomodation for LA soon. I paid for my flight just a few weeks ago. This has resulted in a sudden decrease in size of my bank account which depresses me. I am saving money still but my shopaholic leanings is retarding this monetary growth - which depresses me further.

I can't wait to go to LA and NYC and buy lots of pretty things! See pretty things! Meet pretty things! Feel pretty things! Yay for pretty things!

Last night was my best bud, Adri's 21st birthday party which was awesome and a great success. I made a speech which I hope people liked. I must get over this stage fright business. It's not a good business to be in. I was glad though to see Adri happy and having all the important people in her life there. And as I said many times before, long may her chimney smoke.

After that I went with a few friends to this Serbian bar called Ж (Zhe) in Preston. My two Serbian mates Zoran and Zel work there and so we thought we'd go visit for a while. I couldn't stay long because I had work the next day so we stayed for half an hour and had a couple of drinks (on the house, of course!). I must say it was an interesting experience because the first thing I saw when I entered the place was three women in their 30s dressed like prostitutes somewhat humping eachother. Well, that's what I thought I saw anyway. The sight soiled my eyes to the inner most lens and so I headed to the bar to meet my friends. It was okay and totally normal (but ethnic and full of Serbian and Macedonian culture) after that. It was a short but sweet visit with Zel and Zoran taking turns to have a break to have a chat with us. There were around 200 people there and were wondering what some random Asians were doing there. But we were being treated like the VIPs of VIPs so it was sweeeet.

I've been very productive with my time this week as I would do homework and study as soon as I get home from Uni. Haven't done much 'learning' per se but mostly organising past exam papers and revision notes to help me in the next coming weeks. I haven't done any study since wednesday though which is a bit of a shame but I have been busy with work and social events every minute since. Tomorrow is Monday and so it's back to the normal routine and hopefully I will get some study done.

For now, I am off to bed. My brother comes back from this band competition camp thing tonight. His band came in second which is a wonderful achievement!
